My fantasy football draft is complete. The Mighty Meerkats are back. I think I drafted a decent team. Here are the players I got in the order I drafted them:
- LaDainian Tomlinson (I know he’s old now)
- Peyton Manning
- Marques Colston
- T.J. Houshmanzadeh
- Chris Wells
- Vincent Jackson
- Donald Brown
- Chris Cooley
- Ravens Defense
- Lance Moore
- David Akers
- Steve Slaton (keeper from last year)
- Earnest Graham
- Jake Delhomme
- Jeremy Maclin
- Bernard Scott

My two game losing streak has finally ended. Final score: 69-60. Anquan Boldin rocked it and got me 21 points. On a really crappy note, my whole team decided to get injured. Marc Bulger has a broken rib. Jake Delhomme has an arm injury. Boldin has a hip injury. Derrick Ward has a sore ankle. Now I have to hunt for a new quarterback. Ugh. I get one good week and then I’m in the deep end again. This season is going to be all uphill. If anyone has advice, I’m all ears.

I’ve lost again in week two, 73 to 47. I really need to make some changes before this becomes a trend. It looks like Marc Bulger may not be 100 percent this week. It may be a good time to start Delhomme instead. He’s been doing good. And what the frick is up with Maurice Jones-Drew? He hasn’t done anything for me so far. I have some major reworking to do with my team.

So I got completely clobbered 42-98 in week one. I guess one good thing is that I didn’t have the lowest score in the league. I don’t actually feel so bad. It was an abnormally high scoring week. I’ll do better next week I hope. I just need some good waiver pickups or maybe I need to look at starting Jake Delhomme instead of Marc Bulger. I need to think on it.

So I’m down 72 points with only the Raven’s Defense and Mr. Anquan Boldin left to play on Monday night. I can comeback, right? Ok. I’m not that delusional. The Mighty Meerkats will have to take a loss for week one – the biggest loss I have ever seen in the two years I have been playing fantasy football. I will be watching the Baltimore game tomorrow at the local BWW anyway. Maybe some wings and beer will make me feel better.
