It was a very gloomy Sunday, but I was determined to make it a good Sunday since I had to work on the last one…all day. My plan was simple. Grab my camera, drive to a park, walk, take photos. That is exactly what I did. I chose Como as my target today. I parked by the conservatory, but I didn’t actually go in there. I did that last time I was there. This time I just walked around. I strolled through Como Town, the amusement park. That is where I met Cocoa the Monkey. He decided to come with me for the rest of my photowalk. I ended up walking for about two hours or so. It was fun. I got a lot of weird looks from people because I had Cocoa the Monkey hanging on my arm and also because I was posing for photos with him.
Man, it was frickin’ foggy tonight. It was a little chilly, but I made it through 5+K. I think if Thursday morning isn’t way colder than today, I’ll be fine. I’m going to rest for the next two days.
Not my best run. I did keep up a good pace. I can’t believe I actually went on a run. I was dead tired before I went. I’ll probably run again on Saturday.
After running cables this morning at the office, I decided to do a 5K by myself. I think my pace is completely off. Looking at my chart I can clearly see that I did not have a very steady pace. I guess it is easier to run with someone. At least it’s easier to run with someone who has a steady pace. I was nowhere near my fastest. I’m a little disappointed.
I forgot to turn my Nike+ for the first part of my run. Smart. I did the same run as yesterday so it should be around 4.7 miles. Two days in a row in the cold was not too bad. My legs were definitely a little fatigued. My average pace was slower today. The asthma is still under control. It got a little heavy towards the end, but hopefully I’ll be fine by this weekend. I might try to run on Friday. I’m probably working overtime again this Saturday. I might still have time after that. The Turkey Day 5K is coming up fairly quick. I should be ready for it without any problems. I’ve been running much more than 5K these last three weeks. I’m going to rock it.
Cold. Very cold. I stress tested my winter running gear and I’m really glad they worked. It’s a good thing too, because I really needed to run. It felt good. I very much needed to clear my mind. I didn’t focus very well at work today which made it difficult since I was doing 100 percent cerebral-centric programming in Flash. I did find out that my lungs were okay for the most part. I could do six miles today, but I should by the end of the week. I just beat my 5K time today. The best is now 21′24″. Apparently, I run faster in the cold.
