My trial version of MarsEdit 2 is about to expire. MarsEdit is a blog publishing application from the people at Red Sweater Software. I’ve been using it to write for Wasted Continuum. After using it almost several times daily, I have decided to purchase it. It has already saved me from losing my work at least twice during this 30 day trial period. MarsEdit has definitely improved my workflow. With it’s tight integration to my Flickr account and simple template creation for my often used tags, it’s almost a no-brainer. MarsEdit is definitely one of those applications where you don’t know what you needed until you use it. There are so many little shortcuts and features that makes writing for a blog simple again. MarsEdit works seamlessly with WordPress, Blogger, TypePad, Movable Type, LiveJournal, Drupal, Vox, and more. If you have been looking for a way to organize and streamline your blogging workflow, you should must give MarsEdit a chance. MarsEdit 2 is available for OS X 10.4 or 10.5 for $29.95. You can try a 30 day demo here.

WordPress v2.5 was released the other day. I have not had time to upgrade Wasted Continuum yet. I will probably upgrade this weekend at the latest. It’s looks like a lot of features have been added. Definitely a major update. I’m excited to play with the new features.

I just created an account on FriendFeed. It’s a site that lets you share what you’re up to in one site and in an organized manner. Basically, FriendFeed takes all the feeds from your various social networking site like twitter, Flickr, or your blog, and share it in a centralized location. Right now it supports 33 different services. It’s nothing revolutionary, but it’s neat to see all your feeds in one place. If you sign up for an account, you can subscribe to other peoples FriendFeed.

After hearing for so long from the Twit crew using Twitter, I have finally decided to try it out. It’s basically a system dedicated to super short mini-bloglike posts. You can post tweets (twitter posts) from their site or as I have set it up, from your phone via SMS. This is just a big experiment for me to see how much of my short minutes of free time by posting tweets.
I already started using this morning. It’s been a pretty interesting day. If you were to view my twitter timeline only today, I’d seem like I have a lot going on in my life. I think on a typical day, you may die of boredom reading my tweets. I made a new section for twitter in my sidebar. So now my friends can keep track of me or strangers may stalk me easier. We’ll see how long I end up using it.

I think the combination of sleep deprivation and overworking is starting to mess me up. I’ve had an headache all week long. Luckily, I had a slightly less stressful day at work today. I spent the bulk of the day building a new WordPress blog for a client. I even learned a few things that I can implement into my own blog. I don’t think I’m working this weekend. Maybe I’ll actually get some sleep. Someone page a doctor if I start moving things with my mind.
