Adobe has officially released Photoshop Lightroom 2. Lightroom is a powerful application that streamlines your digital photography workflow. From importing your images to printing, publishing or presenting your final work. I personally use Lightroom to import, organize and process all my photos. I don’t know what I would do without it now. I used to spend hours working on my photos. Now, with Lightroom, I can spend more time doing what I love more, shooting photos. Lightroom 2 has added many features. These are what Adobe is listing as the top:
- Local adjustment brush
- Enhanced organizational tools
- Volume management
- Extensible architecture
- Multiple monitor support
- Flexible print package functionality
- Streamlined Photoshop CS3 integration
- Enhanced output sharpening
- 64-bit support for Windows® and Mac OS

I went for another photowalk today. It was at Central Park. It was sunny and beautiful out. The clouds were big and intense. Today was also the first day I shot with my new lens hood for my kit lens. I think it made a difference. My photos look like they have better contrast and richer colors. You can view the whole set of photos on my Flickr.

I’ve had a long week and I really haven’t taken any good photos lately. Today, I decided to take another photowalk on Grand Avenue before dinner. I’ve walked and ran on Grand more times than I can count, but I haven’t really taken many photos.
After dinner and watching WALL-E, I decided to take another photowalk in downtown Saint Paul since I still had my camera with me. I don’t have that many night photos so I thought this was a good time for it.

For those of you who have been following my Flickr photostream this week may have noticed the lack of interesting photos. This week has been crazy and I did not have much time or even the energy to take any decent photos. I had a couple hours today to kill so I really wanted to use it to go on a photowalk. Since the Taste of Minnesota was this weekend, I thought that would be the best venue for it.

I made wish a few days ago. Not really a wish, but more of a question asking the powers that be if I can’t be famous, can I at least be Flickr famous? Well, I’m still not Flickr famous by any means, but for some odd reason, my daily views spiked like crazy yesterday. I wouldn’t consider my photostream to have high traffic. Before this month, I was averaging around 100-150 views a day. Pretty small numbers. These last two weeks, I’ve been average 300-400 views a day. Yesterday, was really crazy because I got 1,106 views. I only post one photo yesterday. Although it was an awesome photo of me doing the Fishstick, it only had 35 views. I don’t really know what it means or really care that much about it. I just thought it was interesting that on a day where I only posted one photo I get so many views and on some days where I post twenty or so photos I get an average amount.
