Yup. I had the urge to redesign the incomplete design. The old theme was too dark. I just couldn’t get it to work. I finally have a banner that I’m starting to like. I’m going to jazz it up with some subtle background, but I’m liking the clean look with the brighter colors. Work in progress, I know. I’m shooting to actually finish this design before the year ends so that I can officially start writing entries that are not directly related to this site.

That’s all for tonight. I have the basic layout done. Starting to add fonts, colors and margins.

This is pretty much the fifth or sixth blog I’ve started since I’ve
had any presence on the internet. I might actually stick to this one.
The only real purpose of this blog is to allow myself to get my
thoughts out. I really don’t expect many, if anyone, besides myself to
be reading this. I guess I just want to force myself to reflect on the
events, no matter how small, in my life even if it’s for just a
minute. I think everyone should try it. People tend to fear vocalizing
their opinions. It seems they’re just afraid to be unique. Don’t be!
So you’re opinion may be stupid. So what? At least you have one.
So I’m designing the layout for this site right now. What I really should
be doing is updating my portfolio, but I’m not. Why? Because I’m a
slacker and won’t do it until I have some sort of pressure. Well, I’m
going to work on my portfolio as soon as this is up.
I’m creating the CSS file for this layout from scratch. I’m going
through the Dissection of a WordPress theme from UrbanGiraffe. It’s a
pretty, frickin good tutorial so far.
I found an old VHS tape of music performances I’ve recorded over the
years. I’m watching it now. I think this tape is at least a few years
old. Foo Fighters just released One by One. I’m excited because I got
tickets to see the Foo Fighters open for the Bob Dylan next month at
the Xcel. It’s gonna be a great concert. I’ve never had the pleasure
of seeing the legendary Dylan perform.
Anyway, back to designing…
