Our Beginning
Today is an important day for Liz and me. It’s been exactly one year since the first time I tweeted Liz on twitter. I was following her for maybe a few days after reading her bio. I was very much taken by just that. I waited for the right moment to talk to her. One day, Aug 21st of last year to be precise, she tweeted a line from the song Handlebars by the Flobots. I tweeted this to her trying to be a little snarky, but not too much. I remember she replied to me thinking I was being literal when I was actually quoting another line from the song. Turns out she didn’t really know the song that well. I felt like a total dork and I thought I blew any shot of just being friends with her. Luckily, more so for me, we had incredible chemistry and my stumbling did not get in the way of it.
