I got my long awaited Canon EOS 5D Mark II today. It is an amazing piece of machinery. I’ve been playing with it all day. The colors and contrasts are ridiculously sweet. A lot of what makes it good does not show up in the final product. Most of what it does is give me a ton more control and flexibility over my Rebel XT. I don’t know if that makes sense, but that’s how it is for me. You can visit my Flickr to see the new photos.

Tomorrow, my new camera should arrive. I’m getting a 5D Mk II. Though I’m sad to put down my very trusty XT, I’m beyond excited to get my 5D. So I’m sad, but happy today. I’m not selling my XT since it’s not really worth much for anyone. I’m going to keep it as a backup.
