I’m all packed and ready to head out to San Francisco to ring in the new year with my best friend. As I have mentioned before, I won’t be posting anything until I get back. In fact, I don’t think I’m going to bring my laptop. It’s too bulky. If only I had an ultra-mobile laptop. I will still be twittering with my phone and maybe on my friend’s computer. My twitter daily summary posts will still show up automatically.
I’m traveling light this time. I’ll have my tiny 4 gig Nano with me. I just bought a new book to read. It’s Bone in the Throat by Anthony Bourdain. Can’t wait to read it. I already started the prologue and it’s got me sucked in. Since I’m not bringing my laptop, that means I won’t upload any photos either until I get back.
So, happy new year all!

I took quite a bit of photos last night. I picked out a few choice ones. I have a lot more I want to post up on my Flickr, but for right now, I have 17. It’s the short summary of the night.
I hope everyone had a good Christmas holiday. I know I did. Here’s to a great 2008!

- Merry Christmas everyone! #
- Well, it’s time for lunch then I probably have to start prepping dinner right after. #
- It’s flurrying! #
- I’ve got one more errand before I have to start cooking. #
- Growing up sucks… #
- I have a million things to do right now it’s not even funny. #
- Slicing up the fennel. #
- My mise on place is just unforgivably disorganized today. Not good. #
- Fennel is cored and sliced. #
- Fennel tomato soup is 99% prepped. #
- Prime rib is almost done with prep. #
- I love my Global knives! They make cooking go much smoother…I love my offset serrated knife too. #
- Gotta plow the driveway now before I can go over to my sister’s to finish cooking. My poor GTi can’t make it up my driveway. #
- Stupid snowplow decided to not work when there’s 3 inches of snow outside. Thank God it was very light snow. #
- Need to get ready now. Finish cooking over at my sister’s. #
- And I’m off… #

It’s finally here for those of you who have been waiting. Merry Christmas everyone. Remember what Christmas is all about, pretending all your problems don’t existing and stuffing yourself with lots of food and alcohol. Well, maybe that’s just me. Don’t forget to drink water as you consume your liquor. That’s my only advice. Also, give, give, give. Be safe everyone. I’m off to California tomorrow so there probably won’t be any posts except for twitter posts. I may have some quick posts throughout today.
Happy holidays and I will be back at the start of next year.

I just got sucked into an online game. It’s called Gaia Online. It’s another one of those anime-ish looking games where you run around doing silly things. There’s no real goal. It’s pretty much just pimping out your little character. You run around shaking trees, bushes or snowmen to get coins. You can catch items like bugs, fish, flowers, and many more to exchange for more items. It’s a bit addictive. Definitely a massive time killer. The image in this post is my character. If anyone wants to find me in the game, my username’s JavaJunky.

- I love the market after midnight. #
- Why is Cub always out of thyme? #
- Mango ice cream bar. Yums. #
- Man, the moon is frickin’ bright! #
- It’s so beautiful out even though I spent the last forty minutes plowing driveway end snow! #
- Last minute stop at Festival. Need noodles and thyme. #
