Wasted Continuum

I just watched the season premiere of House. He’s back and he’s all alone. He is, however, accompanied by a white Gibson Flying V. The guitar is actually used as ransom against House throughout the episode. It was a little hard to watch at times. I would of cave as soon as I found out one of my guitars were kidnapped. Overall, the premiere did not disappoint. Hugh Laurie is always great in his role and the writing was solid. They didn’t start with a typical intro, which through me off. Usually when the person who shows a sign of ailment in the beginning of the scene is never the one who actually gets admitted.

On a related note, the official Fox website for the show is sort of weak. I thought it would look more like how their intro animation looks.

So my G5 at work died on Monday. I just got a new quad core today. Haven’t done any massive processing on it yet. Actually, I used the Quick Selection tool a lot. It handled that very well. It’s good. I’m going to have fun with it.

The Apple store is down right now. I wonder if they’re adding something or just routine maintenance.

Edit (7:47pm, Sep 26, 2007): It doesn’t seem like anything major changed. Not that I was expecting anything for real. 

I beat my best 5K again today by 25 seconds. I’m now at 27’26″. I haven’t ran in six days. My legs got tired fairly quick. I had to push through the last half. It was dawn and getting chilly. Well, 58 feels chilly in September.

Vox just came out with their version of a mini guitar amp. They claim that they sound like their life sized counterparts. They plug straight into the guitar and runs on two AAA batteries. I listened to the mp3 samples and they sound great, but I don’t know how much I can trust them. I guess I’ll wait to see if anyone will review them. They’re $70 dollars. It’s way more than my Smokey amp that runs $31.99. From the sound clips, they sound a little more usable than what I get from the Smokey. I think I’ll keep a watch out on eBay for one. The only issue that I see is if it’ll fit on my Strat since it’s an angled jack.

My two game losing streak has finally ended. Final score: 69-60. Anquan Boldin rocked it and got me 21 points. On a really crappy note, my whole team decided to get injured. Marc Bulger has a broken rib. Jake Delhomme has an arm injury. Boldin has a hip injury. Derrick Ward has a sore ankle. Now I have to hunt for a new quarterback. Ugh. I get one good week and then I’m in the deep end again. This season is going to be all uphill. If anyone has advice, I’m all ears.
